Daily Bible puzzles, one small bite at a time.
Crossword, word search, trivia, and verse scramble — quick daily games that help Scripture stick, a few minutes at a time.

Four ways to play, one verse at a time
Every week brings a fresh set of puzzles, each built around real Scripture — people, events, and verses you'll actually remember.

A themed crossword — clues drawn from verses, names, and stories across Scripture.

Find the hidden words, and see the verse behind each one as you go.

Ten quick questions — every answer backed by the verse it comes from.

Rebuild the verse word by word — the gentlest memorization tool you'll ever use.
How it works
No accounts to figure out, no long study plans. Just open the app and play.
Each puzzle (crossword, word search, trivia set, and verse scramble) is themed around Scripture and released throughout the week
Each puzzle takes just a few minutes. Stuck? Hints are there when you need them, never pushy.
Keep your streak going, revisit the archive, and track your stats as verses, people, and events become familiar friends.
Free to play. Yes, really.
All games are free — no paywall between you and today's puzzles. God's Word shouldn't cost anything; the World English Bible is public domain, and so is our commitment to keeping the daily games free.
Questions, answered
Is Verse Bites really free?
Yes. All games, hints, streaks, stats, and the full archive are free, with no paywall. If you'd like to help cover server and hosting costs, there's an optional way to support the app, but it never changes what you can play.
Which Bible translation do you use?
All Scripture content uses the World English Bible (WEB), a modern, accurate translation in the public domain — free for everyone, forever.
What platforms is it on?
Verse Bites is launching soon on Google Play for Android. An iOS version is in development — coming soon to the App Store.
How long does each puzzle take?
Most people finish a single game in 2–5 minutes. Easy to fit comfortably at the start of your day or in a coffee break.
Do I need to know the Bible well to play?
Not at all. The puzzles are made for everyone — hints and verse references are built in, so every game teaches as you play.

Coming soon to Google PlayFree to use. Supported by people like you.
Verse Bites is free — every game, every week, plus the full archive. It isn't free to run, though: servers, hosting, and fresh puzzles cost a little each month. This app wasn't made to pay the bills — it's something we built to help make learning Scripture fun and easy. If it's become part of your day, you can help cover what it costs to keep going. You'll never hit a paywall.
Supporting is completely optional and changes nothing about what you can play.
